AOI

The Arab Organization for Industrialization (AOI) is a state-owned enterprise created in 1975 by Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Qatar to coordinate the collective development of the Arab defense industry and related civilian manufacturing capacities. Wholly owned by Egypt since 1993, AOI employs around 16,000 people (1,250 of them engineers) across its twelve factories and joint ventures, plus the Arab Institute for Development Technology.
